Wow, what a year it's been so far! We started TRI PHX (and RUN PHX) in the Summer of '08 after moving from CT - where we were known as TriSport Media . In '07, we held 7 fun-filled races; (3) 5k's, (2) 10k's, 1/2 marathon and Sprint Triathlon and donated $5000 to The V Foundation for Cancer Research. While we are new to AZ, we're not new to multisport events! Our experience runs deep with numerous road races, off road scrambles, du's, tris and marathons. We know what it takes to put on a fun & friendly race, and we've brought that experience here to PHX. What's our plan for '08? We are currently planing a 5k / 10k in Northern Phoenix on November 16, maybe a 1/2 marathon around the same course for mid-February. Sign up! TRI PHX team members have been spotted during training in the North Phoenix area, and competing in some early season events. The Tribal Sprint Tri was a great way to kick off this "season" a few weeks afer we relocated to AZ. The beauty of that course is that it's located very close to our home base. Having an event 20 minutes away from your house is actually quite convenient, and it makes training there even easier. TRI PHX team members will be competing in Nathan's Olmpic Tri in Tempe in late September and at SOMA in late October. We will also be joined by several ESPN Tri Team members at SOMA, so it will be great to race with our former teammates. Interested in joining TRI PHX?
