    Find All Five... (or more!)

How do you do it? It's easy -- and fun! From the start line, it's YOUR CHOICE which way you want to go! It's your job to get all the required marks and then get to the finish line. Solo racers need to get (5) different colored marks (SoloX get 6), teams need to get more. team rules

Strategy. Planning. Teamwork! Whether you tackle the course by yourself or with 1 or 2 teammates, you need to plan your route and get to all the checkpoints before you can finish the race!

The Fireside at Norterra Adventure Run Series is a family-friendly event -- put together a team with your kids and tackle the course like a scavenger hunt! There will be SOME signs to help you out, but you'll never figure out the fastest route without the map! Age group & overall winners will receive a Medallion of Awesomeness... we even like to give some out to random teams that have a lot of fun & show a LOT of spirit! The course will have water stations to fill your bottle and some help on directions!

    What's the course/terrain like?

    Fun. Beautiful. Exciting.
The course sprawls all over the beautiful community of Fireside at Norterra and may feature one or all of the following:
    • paved roads*
    • dirt roads
    • sidewalks
    • groomed trails
    • Course distance: approximately 5 miles
*All paved roads are OPEN to live traffic, all racers MUST obey local traffic laws.

Below is the November 15th FINAL course map!
We will be giving the first 250 runners an ADV RUN VIP Lanyard with a color map of the entire course.
(click map for larger / printable version)

    Are teams allowed?

Yes! You can conquer the course by yourself, or with 1-2 of your friends!
The more teammates you have, the more planning is required -- and the more fun you'll have! Teamwork is key; you'll need to work together to complete the course!

    Adventure Run Rules

    • General rule: This is a FUN & FAMILY-FRIENDLY, yet somewhat competitive event -- for everyone of all skill levels to enjoy. Behave accordingly. Bring a positive attitude or stay home.
    • Help out newbies & beginners. That way it's fun for everyone. They may end up helping you out someday.
    • No traffic control will be in place and you are 100% responsible for your own safety as you travel the streets and trails. All traffic rules must be obeyed or you will face penalties and/or disqualification.
    • No trespassing on private property. Any individuals or teams attempting to enter private property will be disqualified and removed.
    • Be courteous to community residents; no blocking traffic, littering or offensive behavior will be tolerated. The residents of Fireside at Norterra are hosting this event, please be respectful of their community. Anyone damaging private or community property will face prosecution.
    • Follow the direction of volunteers, police and security. They are in place to help keep you on-track and safe. Your compliance with their direction is mandatory.
    • iPods (and all other earphones/headsets) are NOT ALLOWED. Sorry about this, but you need to listen to instructions, and the roads are not closed. Please understand -- we love running with our iPods too, but due to the nature of this course it is really important that they NOT be allowed.
    • Enter to the right (follow signs & directions), wait and exit in an orderly fashion at the marker stations. Volunteers will mark bibs in a first-come, first-served manner. Any disorderly conduct in marker lines will result in penalties/disqualification. This includes abrasive or foul language, cutting lines or pushing.
    • In the event of a marker being on a trail, there *may* be signs at the trail head.
    • All groomed trails, roads (following traffic laws) and sidewalks are available for use unless otherwise noted. NO climbing of ANY fence, walls or obstruction unless otherwise noted will be allowed and will result in penalties/disqualification.
    • USE CAUTION when crossing roads - all paved roads are open to live traffic. Watch out for cars backing out of garages while on sidewalks.
    • Use the roads as sparingly as possible -- there are plenty of sidewalks, and most trails are short-cuts. Plan your course with the course map. If you're on a street for more than 30 seconds, chances are you're doing something wrong.
